About the Journal

Journal Overview

The ASEAN Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Studies (AJHTS) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to advancing knowledge, policy, and practice in hospitality and tourism. It serves as a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share insights, evidence-based findings, and innovative approaches that shape the future of the industry.

While AJHTS places particular emphasis on issues and challenges within the ASEAN region, the journal also welcomes global perspectives that foster comparative understanding and enrich academic discourse. By bridging local insights with international scholarship, AJHTS aspires to be a leading reference journal in hospitality and tourism studies.

The journal applies a double-blind peer review process, follows COPE publication ethics, and publishes all content under a CC BY 4.0 license. AJHTS accepts manuscripts in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with abstracts provided in English for wider international visibility. AJHTS is published three times a year (April, August, and December) to ensure the timely dissemination of scholarly work.

The ASEAN Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Studies (AJHTS) accepts manuscripts written in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

  1. For manuscripts written in Bahasa Indonesia, authors are required to provide the title, abstract, and keywords in English to ensure international visibility and indexing.
  2. For manuscripts written in English, authors are encouraged (but not required) to provide a short abstract in Bahasa Indonesia to strengthen regional accessibility.
